ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
THE CRAFT SHOP is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We believe creative audio and speech synthesis tools should be accessible to everyone, and we continually refine the user experience of Voocaly to apply relevant accessibility guidelines.
01. Conformance Target & Guidelines
We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our baseline benchmark for web accessibility across all public pages, studio workspaces, and account management views.
02. Design & Engineering Practices
To achieve our accessibility goals, we implement the following design and engineering principles:
- Keyboard Navigation: We design core studio functions—including text script entry, voice auditioning, playback controls, and modal dialogs—to support full operation via standard keyboard commands.
- Semantic Structure & ARIA: We utilize semantic HTML landmarks (
<main>,<section>,<nav>) and appropriate ARIA attributes (aria-label,role="slider") to provide clear context for screen-reader users. - Color Contrast: We aim to maintain WCAG AA contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal body text and 3:1 for large text and interactive components) against light and dark background surfaces.
- Reduced Motion: Waveform visualizers, modal transitions, and micro-interactions respect operating system
prefers-reduced-motionsettings to prevent discomfort for individuals with vestibular sensitivities.
03. Continuous Testing & Known Limitations
While we strive for comprehensive coverage, certain advanced real-time audio components—such as canvas-based interactive frequency spectrum visualizers—are visual in nature and may have limited utility for screen-reader users. In such cases, we provide equivalent text readouts (such as audio duration, playback timestamps, and volume percentages).
04. Feedback & Assistance
If you encounter accessibility barriers on Voocaly or need assistance using any part of the service, please contact us at support@voocaly.com with the subject "Accessibility Request".
We evaluate all accessibility feedback and aim to respond within three (3) business days.
